Facts and Misconceptions of Filipino Girls

One of the biggest misconceptions when one hears the term Filipino girls is that they are sweet, charming, beautiful and caring but nothing much else. This does cause many issues as it can also be insulting to those girls of the Philippines. Many of them work hard all of their life and today also maintain high levels of education and positions in various corporate and political organizations. Many people all over the world see Filipino girls as nothing more then that of a possible bride, a helper or a nurse and while many Filipinos may not agree, it has been shown that in almost all Filipino households it is the Filipino girls who call all of the shots.

There is a certain flair to the Filipino girls which most people just seem to over-look. As with all Filipinos there is a seemingly endless blood line of talent in the arts as well as a dedication to hard work. For anyone who has never been to the Philippines, they would never understand this concept, but a single trip will yield some of the most amazing and of course unrecognized vocal and musical talents of the Filipino girls.

Josette Biyo proved to the world that a Filipino girl was more than just something good to look at when she chose to compete with more than 4,000 teachers from all over the world to become the first Asian to win the Intel Excellence in Teaching Award. This was also not that long ago as this was the 2002 competition but like many other feats, it is commonly overlooked by the people of the world.

What about the first female president of any Asian nation? Well back in 1986 Corazon Aquino one Time’s Woman of the Year Award and was also the president of the country. After the assassination of her husband she stood up and spoke out against the constant tyrannical leadership Ferdinand Marcos and led the fight for freedom, human rights and of course democracy when she marched on the capitol to retake the country in the name of all Filipinos alike.

One would be absolutely amazed if they were to take the time to research the plight and rise of victory for the Filipino girl rather than just assume a stereotype that she is just a Filipina. You can see these beliefs in everyday life and it mimics that of a blonde woman. While sure a Filipino girl may be something really nice and sweet to look at, it is important to remember that looks can be deceiving and when you choose to judge a book by its cover, you will never really know the important story on the inside. Filipino girls are intelligent, funny and quick-witted. When you choose to get in their way, they will not fold as easy as you would think so the next time you meet a Filipino girl, just make sure that you give her the due respect that you would give to anyone regardless of age, skin color or gender.
